Career History: Jonathan joined Bridge McFarland in 1994 and since then has consistently represented the rights of accident victims, acting for members of the public and members of major Trade Unions, primarily in the transport sector. He has extensive experience of appearing before Her Majesty’s Coroner at Inquests touching upon the death of victims of road traffic accidents, industrial disease, accidents at work and even deaths in Police or Prison custody.
He has experience of progressing claims relating to accidents or deaths overseas, including Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Namibia, vessels at sea and offshore installations. Recent cases include pursuing a compensation claim for a holiday maker who sustained moderately severe head injuries when falling from a moving vehicle and acting for the family of a prisoner who committed suicide where a Jury found this was facilitated by neglect in the systems of Her Majesty’s Prison Service.
