Career History: Local solicitors 1980 - 1985, Local Authority1985-1986. Awarded LLB (Hons) Sheffield University 1989. Qualified as a solicitor in 1990, but took time out to travel world - working in Hong Kong and Indonesia. Relocated to UK in Sept 1992 to do training with leading commercial solicitors in Sheffield and then Leeds. Specialised in Property Litigation in Leeds. Returned to Louth/Horncastle working for a local firm in 1995 doing family and general civil litigation including Persoanl Injury. Left to join a Grimsby practice in 1997 and became a partner there in April 2000. Also headed up small team of civil litigators undertaking personal injury and employment cases. Legal Services Commission (LSC) supervisor for debt housing and consumer/contract. Now appointed peer reviewer for debt for LSC. Joined Bridge McFarland in April 2005.
