Career History: After completing a Law Degree at Lincoln University Shumyla went straight to BPP Law School in Leeds to do the Legal Practice Course. Her electives were in Personal Injury, Advanced Criminal Litigation and Family Law. During her time at Law School she carried out voluntary work as a Student Advisor which involved advising clients on different areas of law and sending out client letters within deadlines.
After completing the LPC, she returned to Grimsby and worked for North East Lincolnshire Council within the childcare department. In addition to this she carried out voluntary work at the Citizens Advice Bureau and was working as a Trainee Caseworker, gaining a much better insight into different areas of law when put into practice. This included training on client care and confidentiality, building better working relationships and observing client interviews with experienced advisors.
Joined Bridge McFarland in April 2006.
