Meet the Team

Profile
Nikki is a trainee legal executive in the Clinical Negligence Department and is based in our Hull office. Nikki helps clients with a variety of clinical negligence claims, including pressure sore, cauda equina syndrome, and orthopaedic claims.
Nikki also assists Lorraine Taylor with more complex claims, including brain injuries. From 2008 until joining Bridge McFarland LLP in 2016, Nikki worked in the Compensation Department at another firm of Solicitors.
As well as specialising in complex clinical negligence cases, Nikki has experience dealing with gynaecological injuries, injuries sustained during birth, and brain injuries.
Due to the sensitive nature of the majority of claims, Nikki believes it is very important to be friendly and approachable, yet professional. She especially enjoys playing a part in improving clients’ lives following such devastating injuries.
Nikki studied at Lincoln University and has a BSc (Hons) Health Studies degree, and sits on our Hull office’s Charity Committee and assists with arranging and participating in fundraising events.

“I contacted Bridge McFarland regarding Clinical Negligence following my second experience with Cauda Equina syndrome. They proved to be incredibly knowledgeable about the condition and took my case on. Throughout what was a very difficult and stressful journey Lorraine and Nikki remained very committed and determined. They always made me feel as though mine was the only case they were dealing with, giving me time to explain things, and answer any questions I had. Nikki was always so supportive through some very tearful and painful phone calls for which I will always be grateful. They were caring and compassionate when dealing with my claim as some aspects were very personal for my partner and I. Any hospital visits required were always arranged as best as possible around my work pattern. I was kept up to date and informed at every stage, and offered advice when it came to settling the claim. I would recommend Bridge McFarland and especially Nikki to anybody looking into a Clinical Negligence Claim. Thank you for the professionalism and support every step of the way”
“I was advised that claims are a lengthy process that could eventually end up in court. The costs were explained from the very beginning of the claim, and I was kept up to date as the claim proceeded. After the fact-finding surrounding the claim was completed it was decided to proceed. During the claim I lost my Father to Dementia, but decided to carry on with the claim. Through out the claim the staff at BMCF have been very professional. I would like to Thank Nikki Cusworth for all that she has done with regard to my claim on behalf of my father. ”
“I just want to say what a first class job you did from start to finish”
