Bridge McFarland festive appeal supports food banks across Lincolnshire and Hull Women’s Aid

Bridge McFarland festive appeal supports food banks across Lincolnshire and Hull Women’s Aid
“ We are delighted to be able to support such an important charitable organisation in Grimsby, Hull, Lincoln and Louth and help make someone‚Äôs Christmas more comfortable ”

Food banks across Lincolnshire and a charity which works to help women and children fleeing domestic violence will be able to spread a little more Christmas cheer thanks to the efforts of a leading law firm.

The Grimsby Food Kitchen, Lincoln Larder and Louth Community Food Bank will distribute food packages and items to those who are struggling this festive season after donations by staff, clients and the general public as part of the annual festive appeal by the offices of Bridge McFarland Solicitors.

The law firm's Hull office also donated a collection of gifts for Hull's Women's Aid (HWA) as part of their annual appeal. Hull staff members collected more than 50 gifts at its office in Marina Court, Hull, with particular emphasis on finding suitable items for teenage girls.

HWA supports women and children who are experiencing/fleeing domestic violence/abuse, by providing temporary accommodation, telephone and direct advice and individual support to any woman who requests it.

Stephen Lambert, Senior Partner at Bridge McFarland, said: “Every December the firm pledges its support by organising a Christmas collection for local charities. Food banks are a vital support network in the local area and many families depend on it throughout the year and Hull Women's Aid is a vital support network for families in East Yorkshire.

“Many families struggle to meet their basic needs and with the economic climate as it is December can be a particularly difficult and stressful time of year. We are delighted to be able to support such an important charitable organisation in Grimsby, Lincoln, Hull and Louth and help make someone’s Christmas more comfortable.”
