Bridge McFarland staff pledge support to charity event for The Sick Children’s Trust
“ Maria was treated at Sheffield’s Children’s Hospital and it took three months for her to be allowed to go home. Our family live in Cleethorpes and we were faced with either a three hour round-trip to Sheffield every day or paying for hotel rooms, both of which would have come at great expense ”

Staff at Bridge McFarland Solicitors have pledged their support to a charity fundraising event for The Sick Children’s Trust in Cleethorpes.

The fundraising day, which is taking place on Sunday 11 December at St Peter’s Church Hall in Cleethorpes, is being held in an effort to raise vital funds and give back to the charity which relies solely on donations from the public.

Assistant Solicitor at Bridge McFarland Josh Hunter is hosting the event alongside his sister Anna and family after the charity supported his niece Maria who was born prematurely at just 27 weeks.

Josh said: “Maria was treated at Sheffield’s Children’s Hospital and it took three months for her to be allowed to go home. Our family live in Cleethorpes and we were faced with either a three hour round-trip to Sheffield every day or paying for hotel rooms, both of which would have come at great expense.”

“Luckily there was a better option for us; The Sick Children’s Trust provides free, high-quality ‘Home from Home’ accommodation for families with sick children in hospital.”

The event kicks off at 2pm at St Peter’s Church Hall, Cleethorpes. There are prizes to be won including meals, hampers, vouchers and days out.
