Legal 500 recognition for Bridge McFarland Solicitors

Legal 500 recognition for Bridge McFarland Solicitors
“ The recognition in the Legal 500 demonstrates that in addition to having the people to provide comprehensive legal services, we are also providing outstanding client care. ”

Regional law firm Bridge McFarland has made its mark in the latest edition of the Legal 500 with recognition for its work and for some of its specialist lawyers.

The firm, which employs more than 180 people at its network of offices, has earned accolades in the East Midlands and North Yorkshire and the Humber area of the prestigious guide to the UK’s legal practices.

The Legal 500 is recognised as the leading guide to UK law firms, with recommendations afforded annually following comprehensive research. Recommended firms and lawyers must meet the guide’s strict criteria, which look at the strength of the legal team and consistency of quality of the individuals within a team.

Bridge McFarland has been recommended for its clinical negligence and personal injury work on behalf of claimants and is also recommended in the East Midlands region for its work in technology, media and telecommunications in sport. Eight of Bridge McFarland’s specialist lawyers received individual recommendations.

In the East Midlands, Danielle Barney and Ian Sprakes are recommended for clinical negligence work for claimants, with Kathryn Hudson and Leanne Keating recommended for personal injury work for claimants. Richard Parnell is recommended for technology, media and telecommunications in sport.

In Yorkshire and the Humber, Lee Whiting and Nicola Barrass are recommended for their employment work from Bridge McFarland’s Hull office. James Burrell, Kathryn Hudson and Leanne Keating are recommended for work on behalf of personal injury claimants.

The firm is also ranked second in Hull and East Yorkshire for both its employment law and dispute resolution departments, and is one of only four practices in the region to secure a recommendation with listings for all three partners in the employment law team.

Bridge McFarland dates back to 1851 when the firm was founded in Louth as Haddon Owen and Son. A number of practices in Lincolnshire merged in 1990 to create the current business, which has offices in Grimsby, Lincoln, Louth, Market Rasen and Hull.

Stephen Lambert, the firm’s Senior Partner, said: “The recognition in the Legal 500 demonstrates that in addition to having the people to provide comprehensive legal services, we are also providing outstanding client care. Of course we couldn’t have achieved this recommendation without the endorsement of our clients and peers and I sincerely thank them for their support.”
